The Mentals - "Oh Well" (Self Release CD) Sep-06-2000

Hailing from Austin, TX, The Mentals are a three man outfit that prides its self on delivering a raw, passionate performance with a devil may care attitude. "Oh Well" delivers The Mentals raw, passionate, devil may care attitude to your home. Their heavy guitar distortion fueled power pop/punk should be a hit with fans of the "Seattle sound", My Bloody Valentine, Jesus and Mary Chain and other such guitar heavy bands. Due in much part to the recording philosophy of The Mentals lead singer/guitarist - Steve Tobin (1st take, if you fuck up, you fuck up). "Oh Well" has a raw and natural sound that gives the recording an unpolished "Live" feel. It's an approach that either you'll love or you'll hate. We can dig it.
