Steve Tobin here - Singer/Song-writer of the Indie Rock Power Trio, The Mentals! After a few complications, (carwreck, eviction, girlfriend problems. You know,the usual!),
we are once again an Austin-based Band.
We have been together for about 3 years.

Our sound has been described as -

We are extremely hardworking and dedicated musicians that realize that playing in a band is not all fun and games; it is a passion that gives back to you exactly what you put into it. Our music comes from the heart and soul of us. We believe that a great band must have: Integrity, Passion, 110% Devotion and Faith in their music, Love what they do, and have GREAT SONGS!

Our goal is: To have support from an Independent Label, to have musical freedom in what and how we create. Receive ample production and distribution. Reach a widespread/underground audience. Release great songs that have staying power as opposed to being one-hit wonders. Be true to ourselves always, and when all is said and done, be a Phenomenal LIVE BAND!
